Mc+G Studio Hits the Ground Running at This Year’s Corporate Run

Published on
April 24, 2025
This month, the Mc+G Studio team laced up their sneakers and joined hundreds of local professionals for the annual Corporate Run, celebrating health, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition. Under the city lights and buzzing atmosphere, our team proudly represented the studio’s spirit of collaboration and commitment, on and off the design board. The event offered more than just a 5K, it was an opportunity to connect with colleagues outside the studio, promote wellness and strengthen the bonds that drive our projects every day. Whether walking, jogging, or sprinting to the finish line, every member of our team brought energy and enthusiasm to the pavement. We’re proud to support events that build community and well-being in our professional circles. A big thank you to the organizers and all the teams that made the night memorable. We’ll definitely be back next year; faster, stronger and just as united. Go, Mc+G Studio!

Wynwood Works Celebrates Grand Opening

Published on
March 8, 2025
We just celebrated the opening of Wynwood Works, the first large mixed-income, mixed-use housing project in the Wynwood Arts District. The project displays a mural by artist Nicole Salcedo,  titled “Blooming Worlds,” which inspired the colors used throughout the façade to create a striking addition to the Wynwood Artscape. The building contains lofts curated by the Miami Light Project, retail, and units for a wide range of income , from transitional homeless all the way to Workforce. Amenities include a large community room looking at the views of the miami skyline, coworking spaces, and a fitness center. We think it’s great that this project is inclusive for the long term current residents of Wynwood.

Delano Hotel Restoration

Published on
December 11, 2024
Since 1947, Delano Miami Beach’s art deco facade has represented the architectural heritage of the post-war Miami style. Our complete restoration focuses on reigniting the contemporary elegance and whimsical charm that is expected from Delano’s luxury hospitality.

Delano’s story began in 1947 with Architect Robert Swartburg, Philippe Starck led renovations in 1994 and now Studio Mc+G and Elastic Architects will be writing its next chapter!

Our design of Delano Miami Beach hotel carefully preserves key historical features paying homage to its Art Deco roots. We are reinstating the original vertical paint bands, restoring the historic Delano sign and lobby’s octagonal columns. The restoration of the iconic four winged art deco crown will continue to be the most prominent feature of the Miami Beach’s skyline.

Guests will be swept into the resort as they did before through a veil of billowing white curtains which will open into the bright “Delano” white public spaces informed by soft minimalism and the interplay between dark and light. The lobby’s restored octagonal columns continue to carry on the octagonal motif that is present throughout the design, matching octagonal portholes on the facade.

Our Office Potluck Tradition

Published on
November 28, 2024
This week, we had our annual Thanksgiving potluck at the office and as always, it was a hit. Everyone brought a dish to share, and we all got to enjoy a big, cozy lunch together. There was a little bit of everything: homemade favorites, store-bought classics, and more dessert than we probably needed (not that anyone was complaining). It was a fun break from the usual routine and a nice way to catch up, laugh, and just hang out as a team. Big thanks to everyone who pitched in and brought something. These little moments make work feel a lot more like home.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Mc+G Bowling Night!

Published on
August 9, 2024
Last Friday night, the Mc+G team traded sketches for strikes and hard hats for bowling shoes at our much-needed Team Bowling Night! We hit the lanes for an evening full of friendly competition, questionable bowling techniques, and a whole lot of laughs. From gutter balls to unexpected turkeys (and one very enthusiastic victory dance), it was the perfect reminder that behind every great project is an even greater team. Whether you bowled a perfect game or just perfected the art of cheering from the sidelines, everyone brought their A-game in studio spirit.  Nights like these remind us why we love what we do and who we get to do it with. Until the next round. Same team, same energy, maybe a little more practice. 😉

AIA Miami Soccer Tournament

Published on
April 6, 2024
This past weekend, our team laced up and hit the field for the annual soccer tournament organized by AIA Miami and Fort Lauderdale and what a day it was! The competition was fierce, the sun was blazing, and the energy was high. We may not have taken home the championship, but we did win Best Team Jersey and honestly, that’s a victory we’re proud of (Shoutout to Keely, we looked good). Beyond the games it was just a great time to connect with other firms, cheer each other on and enjoy a day full of laughs, goals and maybe a few sore muscles. Thanks to AIA Miami and Fort Lauderdale for putting together such a fun event, we’re already looking forward to the next one!

December 14, 2022
We are happy to announce that we are the winners of “Most Miami” @ PAWchitecture Competition. Not only did we get to design and build a doghouse for charity supporting MCAD and the Humane Society of Miami, our firm won “Most Miami”. Our vision for the Bonewatch design originated from the South Florida beaches. Where Miami is best known for its Art Deco architecture, the lifeguard houses play an equally compelling role in the city’s visual identity. Congratulations to all.
